View Full Version : Cup Lite Specials Added To $10 Regular Nights At Spencer

Three Cup Lite 50-lap specials have been added to the 2009 Spencer Speedway schedule for 2009.

“We are working hard to help make Spencer an affordable place to attend,” stated prompter John White . “We have added three events to our schedule and kept the admission price at $10 for adults and $8 for seniors on those nights.”

The Cup Lites will be at Spencer on June 5, July 31 and August 28, all regular nights of racing. White added, “We also gave the Cup Lites two ‘Sunday Specials’ at Chemung Speedway, July 19 and August 23. They will join a special line up set for those Sunday afternoon specials.”

There are currently ten “regular nights”, $10 admission nights, of racing on the 2009 Spencer schedule. Three of these nights now have an additional division in action for the fans.

The Cup Lites were a regular fixture each year at Spencer from 1999 through 2005. During those years sixteen races were run with Jeff Price winning the most features, four in all. Jeff Moorehouse won the final Cup Lite race back on August 26, 2005 .

One additional add on to the Spencer schedule is a second NORA 360 Supermodified race scheduled for July 17 They also will appear on June 19.

The NORA 360 Supermodifieds did not appear in 2008 at Spencer. They last appeared at the track in 2007, when Louie LeVea took the 25-lap feature victory over Russ Brown and Alan Barker. Brown returned last year as a rookie in the Weekly Modified division.

Spencer has a “Test and Tune” night scheduled for May 15, starting at 5 p.m. sharp. Admission to the “test and Tune” night is Free.

The first night of competition will be the following week, May 22, as the Weekly Modifieds will be running a Special SST Touring Series 100-lapper. Also on that card will be the Street Stocks, Super Sixes and the new Auto Value 4 Cylinder Scorpion division.

Spencer Speedway is located just fifteen minutes east of Rochester , NY , along Route 104 in the Town of Williamson . Spencer Speedway is the local “ NASCAR Place to Race” for upstate New York . Points earned each week at Spencer are counted into the national NASCAR Whelen All-American Series championship.
