Grandview races

Does anyone know how long a typical night of racing at Grandview goes? I am going for opening night and I need to know about how many hours late I have to call into work for. (I work 11-7 shift and live about an hour away from G-view)

You mean for the modifieds and late models in saturday night racing? I might be wrong but I think Grandview has an 11:00 pm curfew...although that might be for weeknight races. Things usually get quiet by midnight at least.

I live literally 3 minutes from the track so I can hear the cars running from here, so mostly going by that and past races I was at. Although I have never been to opening night either.

Well racing was all over before 11pm and that was with A LOT of yellow flags.:)

last race I went to last season it took a half hour to do the first lap because no one could start with out crashing before they got to the line.

did you enjoy the race though?

Ya I did enjoy it, its the first time I have been to a dirt race since before Mocatec<--spelling? closed. They had 10 cautions in the first 14 laps of the Modified race, everyone kept crashing, but it was still fun and very freaking cold and windy.
