Can't make out the last name of the #4 that W.J. posted, but it looked like his first name was Anthony, was there any drivers with that first name that raced that division at Islip? I clicked the photo and it enlarges, but I could be wrong.

Catfish when did Bruce Driver drive the v4??? I never remember that. I remember Connelly, Hossfeld, Robbie Summers, Jerry Marquis, Lia, Hossfeld again and Lia again.

89 - 90 ish, after Marquis before Summers maybe, not 100% sure i know he was pitted next to Glenn at Stafford a year or two before he came back to Riverhead with Papes then our own latemodel.

Satch was in the car for 89-90 at all Stafford races.
I do remember Bruce at a few races and he may have been in a back up car that didn't qualify as he isn't mention in the finishes.
But, he didn't drive at Riverhead.....whew.....

My fault i thought he ran the a entire season in the 4 and i though i remember him not qualifying at RR.

No biggie... I saw Bruce Driver and I know he did attempt a few races....kinda bugged me where, when and what car. I did look into Thompson, Riverside, and a few other races in those years and he wasn't in any of the finishes I scanned through...some of the older finishes I have don't have the non qualifiers which stinks....

Ok Bruce Driver did not run a tour Modified 20 years ago. He ran a Penzoil sponsored # 81 that was just as yellow and red as the v4 but the car was owned by Don Hawk whom at that time ran DEI.That was early 2000-ish. The car looked just like Stephen Park's Cup car but it was #81 not the v4.

It's OK catfish. We used to pit next to Bruce. I also asked Donny Lia he said he doesn't think Bruce ever drove that car. Bruce is a great guy though.
