I watched practice at Riverhead Saturday from the palacial diggs of the Raceway press box with Bob Finan and Jeff Bressler. A strong showing for the Whelen All-American Series Charger, Blunderbust and Legend cars.
The Modifieds appeared to have a light count, which was to be expected with Bill Park towing to Monadnock for the TVMRS event tonight, competitors that got enough practice in last week's session and those who were in Stafford Springs.
The best news of the day was probably that Ricky Miller, former writer for Gater Racing News and scribe for Long Island Motorsports News, has returned home after suffering health maladies in the last several weeks. Get well soon Ricky.
Here's hoping everyone had a great time at Stafford and Monadnock this weekend! Riverhead Raceway opens next Saturday with qualifying at 4:30 and features beginning at 6 pm.
