According to the Weather Channel (probably the worst weather forecasters around but I have an app for my phone), there is a 10% chance of rain and a high of 79 degrees.

Things are looking up!!!! :applause:

That is for real...

Grandview Speedway's regular Saturday night drivers run on tires that can cost as LOW AS $150 each..... If we start breaking glass or bringing in debris.....they will have a fit! I'm not taking anyone's side here...that rule is what it is. The speedway has requested us (the outside series) that no glass be brought into the pit/track areas. We don't have a choice in the matter and I am not going to argue the point anyways...

Besides, you cannot race a dirt track with a glass windshield. First off, the dirt/mud that gets kicked up will cake onto the windshield making it nearly impossible for a driver to see...and secondly, even if you ran the whole race with your wipers on ludacris speed and a spare 5-gallon tank of washer fluid as back up, you would not be able to keep the whole window clean and clear.

Grandview has stated a $1,000 fine to literally chase the idea of bringing a car with glass away. I have to stand with them on this matter.

Oh I agree. I just think the fine is funny

Have you ever been to the Pagoda Junk Car Race and the Pagoda Motorcycle Club in Birdsboro PA? There are guys that run that exact setup, no lie. My buddy Jeff ran a 5 gallon Igloo water cooler with a fuel pump in it to push the water to windshield squirters. I have seen other variations of the same setup as well.

yeah it's going to be hot and dry...again.

At Pagoda, the windshield rule is new this year isn't it? My buddy ran one last fall there. I never did so doesn't matter to me. Can't wait until they move the track to the new location though.
