This is from Brian Lofton Racing - I got this from their blog on Facebook

Our thoughts and prayers are with LW Miller. He had a freak accident in his race shop when a shock basically went through his mouth at very high speed. We are praying for a speedy recovery. We may not always get along with other drivers/teams at the track, but that's just good hard competition. We absolutely wish SAFETY on all our racing family and fans, on and off the track. Get well soon, LW! Hope to see you July 3

It didn't quite go through his mouth like Brian's blog stated, but it was pretty bad. This is from www.itsallamile.com, he is going to be OK.

"It happened Monday in his shop when he was working on repairing the race car from the wreck at Franklin County Sunday. He was taking a loaded spring off the car and it was under pressure and exploded – he got a glancing blow to his face – he spend the night in the hospital Monday night – released Tuesday – knocked 8 teeth loose – they were able to save all but 2 – had dental and plastic surgery that night – as it did tear his face up some – but he is at his shop today and is doing okay.

They said the spring hit the top of his shop – 18 feet high – and knocked a dent in the roof and said if he had taken a direct hit from the shock on his face or chest it would have killed him."

Glad to hear he is going to be okay. And some people think racecars are only dangerous when they are running a race.

Get well soon, L.W., hope your recovery is a speedy one.

Ouch...I know whats its like to have one tooth to get knocked out by a flying wrench, but 8 teeth by a flying spring...I can't imagine. I wish nothing but a speedy recovery for LW and hope to see him in action at Caraway in 3 weeks

I wouldn't call it great news with 8 teeth knocked loose and having the surgery but it is good news. A true racer back at the shop!

Here's to a speedy recovery!
