CONGRATS TO MIKE COLL FOR HAVING BY FAR THE FASTEST CAR AND FINISHING SECOND, SHOWS WHAT SOMEONE WITH TALENT CAN DO WHEN THE RACING IS CLEAN!! CONGRATS TO METZGER AND J-ROD FOR THEIR STRONG RUNS!!!:applause::applause::applause:

Wismer won and there were I think 15 late models not too many RR guys.

There would have been more LM's if Mahoning wasn't running LM's, as originally planned, but due to rainouts, they were added to make up a date they lost. Also a few LI drivers didn't show, due to lack of sponsor commitment, crew shortages and the like. It was good to see Dave Macomber, Ken Matlach, and Greg Kleila back in action, joining Jarrod Hayes, Mike Coll, Kevin Metzger and Roger Oxee to make a decent showing of L.I. Late Model competitors in the 15 car field.
Sadly, an early multicar wreck thinned out the field, but a great race was put on by those who were left. Thumbs up to all of you for participating in a good show.

10 cars Bub?? Nope, there were 15 in total. If all the RR cars that said they would come showed up, we would have had we would have had 23cars.

It's a shame that more couldn't attend for various reasons. Considering we only have 7 shows on the Island (lost 1 to rain). Here we had a place to run on a night we weren't scheduled at RR, at a track not too far away.
Oh well, so it goes.

seen the video of the race last night from Jrod. Was a decent field of cars, one multi car wreck taking out a few cars i think the 34 of matlach was involved as I think roger got a piece of it too i think? 72 was decent but seen his car in the infield for the last 40 laps or so, dont know what happened. Pete Brittain looked to be the fastest car out there until he got a flat tire with about 20 to go. Would like to see these guys run again during the turkey derby, lets see what happens
