This past Friday night meant one thing for Kevin Timmerman – double features. In the first feature event – a curfew delayed event from June 19th, Timmerman ran a solid race bringing home a fourth place finish. Following a second place heat race finish Kevin would run another solid feature event, this time bringing home a third place finish.
Timmerman now sits sixth in the season long point standings, trailing leader Amy Catalano by 30 points.
Timmerman Racing has won numerous awards including the 2000 Spencer Speedway NASCAR Modified Rookie of the Year, the 2000 Gater Racing News Race of Champions Best Appearing award, the 2007 Spencer Speedway Hard Charger Award and they finished third the New York State NASCAR standings last season. In addition they have won several Best Appearing Car Awards at Spencer.
For the 2009 season Timmerman Racing will concentrate on accomplishing their goal of winning the Spencer Track Championship. They will also hit some shows at the Dunn Tire Raceway Park, the Holland Speedway and the Oswego Speedway.
