Hey folks hope all is well. I had to re-register here as I had issues with my other account. I was wondering if anybody here can help me out. I am into PC gaming and race online with the Whelen Modifieds using the greatest NASCAR sim made, NASCAR racing 2003 season.

I would like to put together a car set for our boys from Riverhead. You can see how they look here just as a example: http://www.simodified.com/wmt.html

I haven't gotten to the track yet this year but will be there next weekend. I hope. So I was wondering if anybody here has really good pics of the Modifieds from Riverhead? I need good, clear pics of the numbers, Sponsors etc to be able to make photo real textures for the cars. So I would need the two sides, front shot and rear shot. The best pic for the number is the roof.

A few of the Whelen guys run online with this sim. I was trying to make Riverhead for the sim seeing its the only track on the Tour that has not been done yet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. These pics will only be used for the sole purpose of creating these cars. I tried emailing the professional photographers that are in attendance at Riverhead but I guess they didn't give my request second thought.

Thanks Richie. The 2008 Set I have. I'm looking to make all the Riverhead cars and few other cars from the tour that aren't in the car set. I fixed the Ferrante car. You know I was trying to decide if it looked more like the Spafco or Cavalier body. I went with a pic I had and tried going off the side window. Easy fix.

After a week and a half here's what I got so far. I figure a lot of the mod squad were used to this site last few seasons. Bill Parks ride. Took me forever trying to match up fonts. I seen so many darn fonts I don't want to look at another one for awhile lol I haven't figured out how to get the reflective look of his side numbers and how the number is on the roof. Heres Howie Brodie's #96 ride. I just need to try and find a good match to the font on the rear quater panel sponsor. I also gotta fix the nerf bars. While there this past Saturday I noticed they are very very rusty. So its a matter of getting the correct color.

Just finished up Justin Bonsignore's ride. I felt this one came out the best so far. I had to make the numbers, Sponsors and fonts. I wanted to try these as Photo real but I think this one came out better. I just have to match up the lines on the roof and then on to the 04 and 84.

Believe it or not the drivers suite took me some time. When you do the render there's no driver. It took me longer because I wanted to make the car as up to date with the sponsors. Some of which took a whole day finding the type of font.

Actually, I am cheating..LOL
The cars are only done one sided for the render and it is the actual car, cut out with Vertus Fluid Mask, edited for touch up, then pasting it on the body as a decal....I don't have much time yet to start playing with hand mades yet...
My computer went down last weekend and after rebuilding this, I found my one drive took a dump and that was the drive with everything I ever made, logos, avatars, flash movies and ALL my modified files and projects, gone...
Most are there and trying somehow to extract it but I lost A LOT of modified decals, cars, etc, etc....
My only plans are a few done like Timmy's, but not full cars to use....

Keep in mind I am not familiar with the Blender 3D program enough to figure out why the wheels always come out purple when in the render. In game they come out the correct color.

That car is not on the correct template, you need to use the one timm painted it on. the logo names run off and that means its on the wrong template.

its only a TGA render in blender and its not the in game version which is the correct version as seen in Tims in game screen shot. Blender has been giving me the fits as of late so im not to concerned with the accuracy of them at this point. I still have a bunchhhhhhhh of cars to do and going through all these fonts makes you go a tad bit mad.

When I started this little project I had taken on I made ti a point to email as many teams, drivers and sponsors that I could. The ones that replied I had did their rides. But sadly I just received a response to a request of mine to make the #71 Rusty Turbush Modified. I had always liked the graphics on that ride. But was told I am not allowed to recreate that car for the sim.

I have been trying to get the number exact and see if there were any pics out there with any type of sponsors at any time. The pics I have come across only seem to just have the number on the car and not much else. Still working on it tho. Here's what I got so far.

Helps if I put the render in here. The number is not that accurate I don't think. I know there's a sponsor on the rear of the car and some contingency sponsors on the side but I cant tell in the pic what they are besides the Sonic one. Is the roll cage maroon or just red?

We measured the degree of banking around the track one night,while everyone was in the pits,and the lights were still on. I wanna say 12 degrees in the turns,and less than 6 degrees on the straights. Except for coming out of turn 2, where you go to zero for about a 100'. That's why everybody spins there tires out of 2. The banking falls off, when you need it to hold you in the turn. Then after a 100' or so, it comes back in at about 5-6 degrees. This is what I remember,and we did it with an inclinometer on a long straight edge,back in 2000?

I finished both John and Amber Fortin's Modifieds. I tried to get the 04 number as close as possible to the real version. I don't think its 100% accurate. I am waiting on a few pics from teams that requested their Mods done and once those cars are done I guess the set will be complete. I just have to finish up on the pit crews.

I couldnt find much info on the number 3 Modified that was driven by Eric Goodale and Mike Andrews asuming the car is one and the same. So I took a guess it was a Troyer. Took me awhile to figure out how to paint the 3 and get the fading of the yellow and orange just right but was fun.

For the rear 1/4 panels I used a Diamond plate type of patern as my base for the orange checkers.

Thanks for the links but the creator was looking more for pics that he can make the structures with great detail. My little experience in 3D programs I found if things weren't exact to the real life one it looked fake. So I guess he's going for high detail. Also I dont have permission from the original photographers to download those pics.
