I found this video, pretty cool seeing Richie Evans starting last in his heat and well you know!! Great interview too.

Greg Sacks #5 won over Roger Treichler #74 in the '82 Oswego Modified 200.

This was the race that Oswego favorite Jim Shampine lost his life in Geoff Bodine's car. One sad day to be sure.

Jim Shampine was driving the Billy Taylor-owned #99 Cavalier Modified in the '82 Oswego Modified 200.

this was an "expensive" weekend for racing legends in general.... Not only losing Jimmy at Oswego but Dirt track legend Dave Kneisel was also killed that same weekend when his throttle stuck at the Orange Cnty Fairgrounds Speedway in Middletown, NY. Not a good weekend for racing in general.

...be we keep going to watch and the men keep stapping in and dropping the hammer.
