View Full Version : Indy 500 Driver Davey Hamilton to race in RoC Mod 100

Indy 500 driver Davey Hamilton inked a deal on Wednesday to drive in the RoC Modified Tour 100 this Saturday at Oswego Speedway.

Hamilton, who is no stranger to Oswego Speedway will be behind the wheel of the Eric Beers owned #9 Modified this Saturday. Pending on the outcome of this Saturday, Hamilton likely will be competing in the 59th Sunoco Race of Champions as well.

It will be a busy weekend for the Jamestown, Indiana driver as he will also be competing in the Classic Super Modified event throughout this weekend.

Hamilton, has nine Indy 500 starts to his credit with his best finish coming in 1998 when he rallied to a fourth place finish. In 2007 he was ninth and this year was involved in a crash that left him the 29th place at the end of the day of the historic event.

The Indy 500 is of course the oldest auto race in the United States. The Race of Champions ranks second only to Indy as this year will mark the 59th edition of the storied event.
