Who were the top 5 Out of Town Invaders you've seen come to Long Island and Knock off the locals.

1 Richie Evans No Question
2 Mike Stefanik 6 Tour wins at Riverhead including his 1st ever Tour Victory
3 John Blewett Jr- 1982 Islip and 1986 Riverhead Champion.
4 Jimmy Spencer-Won the 1st 2 Tour Races at Riverhead
5 Ted Christopher Always a threat.

LOL, I saw Ron and Ken Bouchard try at Freeport and fail. Does that count for anything.

Didn't one of the Fuller's win a WMT race at Riverhead?

Damn. Come in and win? That's stretching my memory. I'm pretty sure Jerry Marquis did it, I just don't remember when. I know I saw Richie win at Islip. Tough task there Mr. Ted.
Edit 6/05/04 Jerry Marquis won at Riverhead.

The invaders I would add to the list would be #38 Jerry Cook and a man that won a 100 lap race at Islip in a dirt car during the All Star Racing League days, the famed 00 Of Emil " Buzzie" Reutimann. I would also say, even though he never won on the island that I know of, he was very exciting to watch and the car was very different... the 659 GMC 6 Cyl coupe of Parker Bohn.

Did Bobby Allison ever win at islip?I saw a show a while back and they were talking about bobby's and cal's fight at daytona,and bobby laughed and said the one fight he remembers better was out on long island at islip speedway.Anyone have any info on that?

Yes Bobby Allison won at Islip, but in a Grand National stock car. I know he came from the modified ranks, but I don't think he ever ran a open wheeled car at Islip.

His 2nd career win (and 11th) came at Islip.
