Has there been any official word on the raindate or cancellation?

From all that I hear, it won't be made up, but has there actually been an official statement to confirm all the rumors?

For Immediate Release

NASCAR Whelen Modified Date At Chemung Cancelled

Event Scheduled For Aug. 29 Was Rained Out

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 9, 2009) – NASCAR and Chemung (N.Y.) Speedrome have announced that the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event at the track, that was rained out on its originally scheduled date of Aug. 29, will not be made up this season.

“We worked really hard at trying to find a suitable date to reschedule and unfortunately, we just weren’t able to find one,” said Chad Little, series director of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. “We looked at several options with the promoter, John White, and discussed those with the competitors, but it just wasn’t going to be possible. We were really looking forward to racing at Chemung. The track has a lot of Modified racing history and the fans up there are great.”

The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will next race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, Sept. 19. The New Hampshire 100 is set to go green at 1 p.m. in Loudon, N.H.

There doesn't seem to be many open dates on the schedule but if they extended the season, maybe sunday october 25 at waterford along with the ISMA supermodifieds would probably be a good show and sell as well! The day before would interfere with Wall's 10k to win event.

I'd like to see Holland take the date. Mods just belong on that track.

I'll book the rooms at Ben's Nickle Brook.
If the weather changes we can use Snow Mobiles

Kyle,

The purse is too high to make that happen. I have spoken to the fine folks at Waterford, believe me, no one wants a tour race there more than me.

I believe their last race is the Thompson World Series. But they were looking at an additional race or two to make up for the Berlin cancelations

I would love to see them there! and I know YOU want to see them there the most! I think honestly if Ronny Yuhas got a ride for that one either him or Coby would win! :)

Amen Utica! Historic venue and the mods always put on a good show there. Not quite sure why the tour hasn't been there lately (purse, pull distance?). Anyone with knowledge instead of speculation know? I'm sure Mr. Southcott may have a thought or two .....
