Several days? Unless this changed...

"It will also be announced that the Whelen Modified Tour New Hampshire 100 on Sept. 19 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway will be televised by tape delay on Speed. The race will be broadcast on Oct. 15 at 3 p.m"

NASCAR Whelen Mod Tour Race at NHMS Will Be On SPEED TV

WMT - 9/9/09

After good ratings and a lot of hype surrounding the TV coverage of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour debut at the Bristol Motor Speedway last month, the Tour will return to the big screen again. SPEED will air the always-exciting race at the Magic Mile (September 19th) on a slightly tape-delayed basis. The race is scheduled to get the green at 12:50pm and the airing of the event will begin at 1:30pm. Mike Joy, Dick Berggren and Bob Dillner will call the Mod Tour action at NHMS for SPEED.

If I remember correctly the Modified race from Bristol pulled in a .6 rating (over 300,000 households). The average Truck race gets a .5, Indy Cars .2, F-1 .15 (sorry Johnny!)

But wally those ratings would have gone up for F1 if Michael had made his comeback!!!!

per a NASCAR press release - There is a change in the race/broadcast time that was originally announced above.

SPEED carried the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour’s combination race at Bristol Motor Speedway same-day on Aug. 19 to favorable ratings, which prompted the auto racing network to follow a similar format for the upcoming event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. With the announcement of same-day coverage, the broadcast will begin at 1 p.m. on a 15-minute tape delay.

The New Hampshire 100 was originally scheduled to take the green flag at 1 p.m., but with the new broadcast time the event will now start at 12:45 p.m.

We need to continue letting SPEED know we appreciate them showing the MODS. After the race, everyone needs to e-mail SPEED and let them know.
