no reason to start a new thread here so forcast for this Sunday's Junk-a-Thon is....

COLD!!!! barely getting in the 50's for a high and just a slight chance of early precipitation.

I normally dont post this until Tuesdays before the race, but SOME people were getting too inpatient...

Bundle up....says your weatherman!

In my neck of the woods they say rain........but "they" dont even know one day to the next. By the way who is these "they" people? I want to meet them. As for the cold.....Ill wear my fireproof underwear that i bought to run in NJ tracks.

only looking at a 40% chance, however, now it does not look like its even going to reach the 50's, high of 49º

Even if the rain holds off Sunday, I'm worried about all the rain leading up to Sunday. The track will be a mess. I don't think I can wait until November

come on we all know the weather people dont always get it right , maybe it will be outta here by friday , lets go racin

EnduroFromDE

thursday and friday calling for it, only 40% for saturday and Sunday.

mcstockcar
10-14-2009, 09:37 PM
IF it does rain....is there a make-up date?

Erin C
10-15-2009, 07:58 AM
I want to say no to that because the November date is really pushing it and the track will be re-graded afterwards.

The following week we have a race at Wall (Oct 25th)
The week after is the final race at SVS (Nov 1st)
AND the week after that we can't do anything because no one will be around for the track (Nov 7/8th).
After that is our Mutha. (Nov 14th).

snow!? seriously? lets race in the snow!

I raced at Mountain (SVS) in January- there was ice and snow on the track and it does make it interesting when the green is dropped. It was FREEZING!!!!

If you go to "The Frostbite" in January- bring torpedo heaters, space heaters/ generators, etc. and wear a lot of layers!

I still say it looks like it starting to break up and move out...i see the rain stopping overnight and we will have to see the track in the morning to see how bad it is...The temps. has risen up into the 40's for tommorrow so it looks as if the rains are moving out sooner then expected and heating up a lil bit...again tryin to be optimistic here...;) and if im wrong oh well, how many weathermens do you know that even right 50% of the time...

ThePill
10-17-2009, 02:55 PM
optimistically speaking it hasn't really rained too hard. Local obs stations only reported about half an inch in the last day so its not that much rain. Hopefully the track has taken it well. a little peak of sunshine would be great. or if punchy would go away tomorrow

So if we get to race tomorrow and I am there, then what Joel HUH? :p Just because you have racing withdrawal doesnt mean its my fault that it rained. Your the meteorologist you explain why it rains on enduro race day? Go up to the track and start using buckets to get the water off the frotn stretch!

:)Well guys, I finally got all my wheels to point in the general direction that their supposed to so I guess I'll load her up. I even got the new battery in so I don't have to get pushed to the pits again. On the bright side of the weather, if we don't race tomorrow it'll be washed up for next week.

Hasn't rained here (1 mile from the track) in the last hour or so...and even then it was only light rain.

It is also a little breezy here which is good, although there are some dark clouds moving into the area right now again.

My car is...ready enough I guess.
Going to wait until morning to load it but other than the fact that the car has been junk half the season so far...it's ready to go racing
