Great choice,good luck Steve!

I hope you have better luck with Jim than an official who has been there many years. I couldn't believe what I witnessed this past race season on the ramp when the veteran official told Jim that the 2nd place truck was clearly under the white line. Jim's sarcastic response was "you saw it better than me on the ramp then me in the infield?" Then he walked back to the infield. FYI I saw the samething the veteran official saw and I was in turn 3. Also http://pitstoppitbull.com/ backed up what was seen by myself and the veteran official.

Awesome, awesome, awesome. It's going to be great having someone watching the races, never mind someone watching who actually knows what to watch. Hopefully he'll be on a fast track to the top.

Absolutely one of the best stories to come out of the press office in a while. Steve is an extremely fair person and knows all aspects of racing. He knows how to watch a race all the way not just one lap at a time and always treats people with the proper amount of respect. That's going to mean alot to everyone. Good luck Steve..

This is the best news in a while from the track, a respected veteran to make some quality calls was definitely needed.

Great move by the track hopefully the existing officials will allow steve to do his job, i remember another veteran racer stepping down because his calls were overlooked. hopefully history does not repeat itself.

Good luck to Steve Tooker. Great choice. I just have one favor to ask stay consistant. Our present officials have a tough enough job but their biggest problem is staying consistant.

it was Steve. We had a Sunday Show which he destroyed his favorite LM.

BTW, Steve will be excellent in this position if he is allowed to make a decision and have it stand. He is racer who knows his $hit. The racing and calls should improve dramatically
