anyone have a radiator for a 1991 Ford Ranger 2.3L? turns out the upper neck on mine is cracked and leaking badly. I tried using epoxy and so far it is holding, but im not so sure it will work under rough conditions. any tips on what can fix it tho? its plastic.

I'm heading to the junk yard tomorrow. I can look for one if I don't run out of time.

On rt 100 about 15-20 miles south of the track there is a Mustang yard. Im sure you can get one from there...any mustang with a 2.3 4cyl in it should have a rad that would fit...

I did my best looking but couldn't find a Ranger or Bronco with a 4 cylinder that still had a radiator in it except one and it had an obvious hole in the core. There were plenty of 6's but it looked like the were reversed from the 4's:confused:

Clean the crack real good and put lots of silicone sealant on it.
You can use PVC cleaning solution to clean the area. (Stuff in the yellow can)
RTV or clear silicone sealer will work the best.
Don't use Silicone Caulk!
Let it dry for a day.
The silicone sealant will stretch with the bumps and bangs.
If that don't work then put in the new radiator.

i tried the rtv mopar silicone that i had. it did not work. after the motor warmed up for 5 minutes, it started to leak. i will have to get a new rad.
