Would TIS ever consider running 15 features only on Sunday to get the show in? Put a time limit on all of the races except for the Supers, NEMA and the WMT.

I know most of the divisions qualify on Friday

They kind of did it in 2005. It rained that saturday night and they still had about 3-5 features to still run plus the Camping World east or whatever it's called was there as well. I believe they ran the normal schedule that was posted for Sunday and just ran the divisions that were supposed to run on Saturday after everything else.

I know also that you can't fire an engine before noon on Sunday but I think they would try to give the divisions who had to practice and qualify on Saturday to give them a practice on Sunday

I think they can fire before noon now. Used to be a state deal now it's up to the towns. Stafford did it a couple weeks ago with no issues.

And one year, I think it was 02 or 03, Saturday was a complete wash and they got everything in on Sunday.

I think it was 2003. I never thought I would think I saw too much racing.

It was a long day and a long drive back to jersey.

From what I remember CT State law no competition before noon on Sunday. This not only covers auto racing but other sports. Stafford lifted their law not the CT State law. I could be wrong, but do remember that long Sunday show.

You can shave some time off the day by cutting NEMA to 20 laps. Let's face it, the race is usually settled by lap 10 and 25/30 laps on a quarter mile is perfect, but on a 5/8's is too much. And I'm a NEMA supporter, before the bashing starts, LOL.

You can also shave time by cutting the out of car introductions for the WMT. Stagger the crews crossing into the infield, in between features and under any red flags or extended cautions.

I agree on that. How long did the show go for in 2002 and in 2005

I'm hoping they run the heats and features for all the outlaw races Friday night. Then run the other heats that they are suppose to have Saturday first thing Sunday. If they were to do this I hope they give the fans a little notice so they can plain accordingly. :disgusted

In 2005, I believe the WMT was done by about 6 and then they ran the Camping World East race and then the Saturday divisions. The only difference then was that they got all the practices and qualifying in on Saturday for the Sunday races. Who knows what they will do if they try to get everything in this Sunday if all of Saturday rains out.

I think they are going to try to get in as much of Saturday in as much as possible

75 bucks for basically a one day show? I don't know about that. I'll have to think about it.

Also, in 2005 because of the numerous rainouts (basically, how it inconvienced everyone) they had for the World Series, they dropped the price from 75 to 50. Hopefully they will think to do that this year.

I agree with you rob, but you still are getting 2 days worth of racing in just one day. I'll be there regardless, hope you are there!

Don't they usually start the day with a round of warmups for every division before they even get to the features? Thats a long day.
Rain aside, I wish they had a Sunday only admission price. Someone who goes on Sunday pays the same as someone who goes all weekend.
