Racing was over at 8:12 p.m. Some particular reporter from a Hartford newspaper ignored the naysayers who were predicting 10:45 and 10:15 and called an 8:20 conclusion when the first green flag of the day fell. Not bad, eight minutes off.

Last I heard it was the World Series of Speedway Racing, not the World Series of Whelen Modified Tour racing. Who cares what time it started? It went off right? I don't remember ever reading anywhere that it would "start at 3:45." I think it was stated that it would start at approxiametly 3:45. Big deal that it didn't start at 3:45, did it really matter one way or another? I think the fact is that it was a pretty good showing overall by the crew at Thompson to get 11 feature events in in about 7 hours.

Wow,tough crowd here...to the promoters credit, they postponed a division 'till later to get the mod tour in near the approximated start time.

Starting and finishing times are always guestimates. There are too many variables to get it exact. As long as it's a good day of racing, I'm always satisfied!
