I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has participated this whole season in any or all NEETS charitable functions...

We started out this season by becoming partners with Elk Motorsports to collect money for the Relay for Life, between the two Saturday nights at Grandview Speedway and several enduro events throughout the year, we raised approximately $1,000! Shon Elk, Elk Motorsports, set his goal for the entire season at $1,000, so I feel very confident saying we all came together in a huge way to support this charity!

Next up was the Montgomery County SPCA Pet Food/Supply Drive that was held during the August Enduro "DirtStock". The SPCA officials collected only a small amount of money, enough to buy food and supplies for a week or so, but over 500 pounds of food was collected at this event! Shelter Manager, Chris Langiotti, informed us that monetary donations are hardly ever considered when people are bringing food to the drives, so the money that was received was in actuality larger than normal! NEETS will arrange another Pet Food/Supply Drive in 2010, Chris is already looking forward to working with us again!

Our most recent charity was "Krausey's Koats". 102.9 WMGK Sportscaster, Joe Krause, brought up the official WMGK Van to Grandview Speedway at our last race to collect winter coats for the less fortunate in the tri-state area. Over 50 coats were collected at this event! NEETS followed up on this by arranging NEETS enduro cars to aid in the first ever "Krausey's Kars" Car show at the East Greeneville Walmart this past Sunday. The collections continued to pour in and the final tally looks to be over 300 coats!!! Joe Krause personally donates the collected winter coats across the tri-state area at soup kitchens and shelters during the late December weeks. NEETS will be working along side Joe Krause in 2010 as well, collecting winter coats and gear ALL SEASON LONG!!!!

And finally in 2009, at this Saturday's race, we will be collecting new and unwrapped toys to be donated to the Toys-4-Tots program. NEETS will have two collection bins set up, one pit-side and one in the grandstands. We are hoping to make this our most successful collection this season! If you would like to make a special donation, either before or after this event, please contact Joe 267-767-4923 ASAP to make arrangements.

Looking forward to 2010....
NEETS will continue to collect for charitable organizations throughout the season! If you have a charity you would like to see NEETS raise money for/collect items to donate to....please contact Series Promoter Joe Cutri to make arrangements! Please hurry, the earlier we can arrange dates and such, the bigger the turnout will be!

Thank you all....for everything you have done for us and for those less fortunate!
