I thought the only thing in Watertown, NY was Fort Drum; spent plenty of time there.

This is very good see. This place looks like it must have been something back in its day.

This place has had sort of a love/hate relationship with it's surface and always have. I was there in the early 80's (paved) and it was a beat little facility but had a good crowd. They struggle now like many tracks for cars and customers. One issue today is that many dirt tracks have have the double wammy when it comes to the NIMBY factor. Dust and noise. Add to that the cost weekly to keep a dirt track in raceable shape is one of the reasons some tracks are switching. NYS might become the center of the universe for DCOP.
(dirt cars on pavement). I'll wager some asphalt tracks will get into the game too looking for car count. I wonder...........if the day of the two surface racecar is not to far away. Old foogies like me remember back in the "old" days when this was done. Interesting times ahead I think.
