Question about the North/South Shootout

I went to the Shootout for the first time this year and I absolutely loved it. I will be going every year from now on. My father lives 1.5 hours away from the track and it worked out ok, but next year we were thinking of brining the camper to the track to stay right there.

Are there any requirements to be able to do this? Is it free or is there a charge for it? I know most tracks are free, but just want to be sure. Any insight on the camping part of this trip that will help me next year is appreciated.

To my knowledge, the only place they charge is the area in turn 3, or as Walter stated, trackside. Otherwise it is free of charge
