Had planned on taking the children to my brothers and then the wife and I would make the trek to the banquet. But it's a lot of driving and with conditions as they are I'm choosing not to challenge mother nature. :*-(
I'm bummed out but what can you do?

wow what a night, I had to take my gf to work at 8 last night and it was horrible out there. Luckily I was able to use my 4 wheelers later in the night to go places I needed to get to. surprisingly the dollar store and turkey hill were still open...lol.

I had no troubles driving the 32 miles there in an Escort badly in need of tires.. I love driving in the snow. What else is it good for? Perhaps racing on!!!

I had a fun 120 mile round trip in the snow, made it to the banquet and back without any problems

The weather....

Kenny and Nate, if there's one lesson to learn about NEETS it's this:

Fact: IT ALWAYS SNOWS ON OUR BANQUET NIGHT!

5/6 banquets have been snowed on, so I'm thinking this record will not fade away anytime soon..... But, this was certainly the worst snowfall on a banquet we have ever had.

Ty, would have postponed things, but when the hall orders food for 120 people and are booked quite solid over the next few open weekends, there's not much we can do.....push it off for a month or two, possibly? But, we would have to pay for food twice then.....and I don't have another 3 grand! :*-(

All the more reason to have a banquet in July, hehe..............:applause:
Besides, I thought we ran the series rain, snow or shine.............

:)Now that's an idea that deserves some consideration Uncle Petey. A NEETS picinic on an off weekend or Saturday just might work. One of those weekends last summer when the sea was too rough for me to fish would have been great, and the ones when the weather was good, the fish didn't bite anyhow.

HHMMMm....Racing, picinic, beer, food, fireworks.... sounds like an awsome time until someone who wins the race, goes to the picinic, eats, gets banged up, and blows off a few fingers off....NOW thats my idea of a great time!!!!!! OK where the fireworks and the beer?
