Richie evans and jerry cook comes to mind. Just my opinion but till i see other wise nobody i mean nobody comes close to richie. He would pass i said pass not knock you out of the way for the lead he was that good plain and simple. Also had a knack for pulling the pole!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I belive that the mod tour never really got over his and our lost the tour was never the same.

To me a no brainer STEFANIK & EWANITSKO they both could, and would pass anybody on the outside, and drive like GENTLEMEN!

sk's Rocco-Blewett, but it got ugly!

Whelen TC and Stefanik had some good battles on the track, same could be said about Flemke Jr. and TC.

20 years, 1989-2009, some the battles mentioned are before 89'. So who had the best battle in the 90's and 2000's?:)
If we went before then Evans/Spencer got a lot of press!

A bit more than 20 years, but Evans - Bodine gets my nod ... One word: Martinsville.

For '89-'09 in the Southern Tier of NY I would say JR Kent vs Tony Hanbury

From farther back I would say Goerge Kent vs Richie Evans - classic battles week in and week out at the old Shangri La

Tom Baldwin and Reggie Ruggerio

Tom Baldwin and Eddie Flemke Jr.

Tom Baldwin and Mario Fiore

It was a lot of fun listening to those stories.

Some great rivalries have been mentioned, but I recall that, back in the day, it was almost always Reggie that was the center of any rivalry universe...and man oh man did the fans eat it up!

Jeff Fuller & Jimmy Spencer. I was a huge fan of Jeff's and I remember Spencer had to be escorted from the infield by state troopers because it appeared he had wrecked Jeff.

One of my favorites was JBIII vs. TC

Have to agree with Mends, Miller vs. Myers

One of the all time best was John Blewett Jr vs Jimmy Spencer at New Egypt

now only being 22... my modified knowledge doesn't go that far back... but my best one is Reg and Jerry Marquis...

currently I gotta say one of the best ones going in the SKs is Keith Rocco vs. TC. And you can throw Showtime Jimmy Blewett into that one too

I'd say Mends vs. the flagman. If you could see the aggression that the flagman waves the yellow and blue flag at him with, but to no avail, Mends makes him wave it even harder after each passing lap, It's a neverending standoff :lol::lol:
