we are subscribers to newsday, what he is referring to is: Please explain the article in "Laymans terms". Is it going to affect our racing season and maybe the life of the racetrack??? Kind of a scary thing to read if your involved in racing at Riverhead. Lets hope for the best.

Before this gets out of hand, and to squelch rumors, I'm going to put this in layman's terms, as requested.

An unaffiliated business to Riverhead Raceway, which does professional fund-raising and employs some of its staff, was sued by the State of New York for alleged deceptive practices.

How this affects the 2010 season?

It doesn't, according to several sources from Riverhead Raceway, which have assured me that plans for 2010 remain unchanged, and the meetings next weekend will go on as planned.
