hi all, I'd like to be able to go early and enjoy the day with the mods. Unforunately, they only let 10 crew members in per team. If any southern teams know of anyone that needs help, or has room for an extra please hit me up. There could be a tire in it for them :applause: Thanks!

WMT / WSMT - 1/13/10

t was announced on Tuesday night's Speed 51 Radio show that ten NASCAR Modified races, split between the Whelen Modified and Southern Modified Tours, will be televised on a tape-delayed basis in 2010. The races will air as one-hour packages on the Versus network and will be produced by the NASCAR Media Group. Events at Lowe's Motor Speedway, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, Bowman-Gray Stadium and both races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway will be among the races televised.

Very true Axel!!!!!!

Most will probably show tonight as we enter the track tomorrow at 6 AM.

Speed51 posted something about a week ago that 19 cars had entered. There might be a few more that have entered late but I'd say atleast 20.

It is a shame that we couldn't see an entry list. As far as Versus goes.... I emailed twice over the past several weeks and have yet to get response. Those 10 races will likey turn into 2 (Bristol and New Hampshire) and that could still be Speed. NASCAR's does usually have the lap by lap up so maybe we will get updates there too.

Well if it is, it has to be the worst case of advertising that I have ever seen. I don't see it anywhere on their website and they haven't responded to emails. Not only that, the only place anybody ever saw it was a paragraph on Speed51 and nothing else was ever said.

I did remember this article and look who made the second comment, Mr. Kurze himself.

Top 6 qualifiers.
James Civali
Gary Putnam
Frank Fleming
Adam Gay
Burt Myers
Tim Brown.

Riggs Racing is saying - "Civali pulled the number 8 pill for a redraw of the top eight qualifiers for starting postion

Starting Order After Redraw: Adam Gay, Brandon Hire, B Myers, Gary Putnam, Jonathan Kievman, James Civali, F Fleming, Tim Brown"

I guess that answers the redraw question brought up in another thread.

Also an update - Josh Nichols qualified for Gary Putnam. Putnam will start the race, but will have to go to the back of the field.

Last time I saw Corey was last year on a Wednesday night running a Pro Challenge car at the quarter mile track at Concord. Never would have thought that he would be winning a mod race so soon. And this was a good field.

Concerning Versus, I'm pretty sure they were showing them on a tape delayed basis. Otherwise, I'd say Speed should have shown the race, but they had the Daytona 200 starting at 9pm.

How was the crowd? Did the people from qualifying stick around to watch the mods?

Yeah......more room on the straights and enough to get under someone coming off the corner. Still a tight fit, but something to work with anyway.

Wow, just got on here to read the results and I've got to say I'm shocked.

Last time I saw Corey was last year on a Wednesday night running a Pro Challenge car at the quarter mile track at Concord. Never would have thought that he would be winning a mod race so soon. And this was a good field.

You were probably watching Casey driving the white #711, Corey's younger brother, unless Corey was just out one night messing around. Corey ran the UARA and Camping world east tours sporadically last year, picking up a win at Rockingham in the UARA series in one of the best battles ever on the 1 mile track.
