After a week of unsettled weather and heavy rains the track was a concern for most of the drivers when they went to the driver’s meeting. The track crew worked hard this morning to clear as much of the water as they could. One of the major concerns of drivers was water seeping through cracks in the tracks.

After the driver’s meeting I spoke to Driver of the #47 NSWMT car, Andy Seuss:
“It is definitely slick here with the rain in the past week here at Caraway. Some of the water is seeping through the cracks as we have seen happen at the big tracks too. It is definitely making the outside lane even tricky and even makes you enter even a little bit lower here in turn one. What they are doing is trying to put speedy dry down to help the situation but so far the water is still coming through and it is making the speedy dry pretty greasy.”

With the track conditions different after last night’s heavy rain will drivers change their strategy?
“We are definitely going to change our setup and approach to the race. It is definitely going to make it exciting for the fans.”
