Looking at Burt Myers website, he has Thompson's Icebreaker listed on his schedule, anyone know if he really plans on coming up, if so with his car or is someone up here giving him a ride?

Yes, the current plan is to go to Thompson and have some fun with the yanks. We are taking our car and Burt is really looking forward to it.

Cool ! Looking forward to this. Does the Southern tour have any tracks the size of Thompson? If not, this could be a really neat race, will they now be the Southern invaders?

Martinsville is probably the closest Burt has run to something like Thompson. Perhaps Nashville as well, but since it was only once and several years ago it maybe out of his mind.

with the long straights at Thompson it gives the driver a lot of time to think about the next turn.
sometimes its a good thing, sometimes its bad.
best of luck at TIS Burt

he just needs to prepare himself....its not like down there where only 3 guys have the big dollars, he'll have more competition and guys with the know how of getting around thompson, i'm sure good ole TC will show him that you don't pass him on the high side coming out of turn 2 lol......anyways even though Burt can come off as a jerk a lot, i wish him the best of luck and look forword to seeing him run at Thompson.....also what car number is he going to run???? If Summers shows up Burt won't have the #1...any idea's??

I think the last two North South Shootouts shows that he's not really worried about being "out monied", he's just coming to race.

no deal there, Art Barry and Kenny Barry have Jon McKennedy running the 21 car and Richard Savary is running his own car and since Jake M. isn't running this year Richard is going to the 9 which he use to run at Riverside Park

no no, i wasn't saying he would be worried about being "out monied" i'm just saying its not like down there only a couple of guys can compete with him because of the equipment. All i'm saying is that the North Tour has a lot strong caliber of competition that what he is use to running against especially on a new track for him where most of the WMT guys have began their career and use to race there 5 times a year, it would be the same thing if one of our Northern guys was to go to Bowman Gray, we'd have the same "money" but not the experience, Thompson is its own beast and there is nothing like it, I just can't wait for it, Icebreaker is only 3 weeks away!!!!
