hey guys, My windshield is cracked on my crown vic. I ran in the blindfolded taxi cab race last season, gonna try to run it in the 8 cyl. this season. I've never installed a Lexan windshield before any advice on how to do it? Seems like other guys who have Lexan used some sore of sheet metal screw and sealant but I never really looked that closely before since it wasn't important to me.

I only have 2 days between when I get home from school and the May 15th race, is it worth doing lexan or should I get the windshield replaced with glass?

Well if you're gonna do it, use a jig saw to cut it & self tapping screws, they work pretty well. But as someone who has a lexan windshield I'd highly advise AGAINST it....its sucks. Scratches too easy and is very hard to see through if it gets dirty or the sun is setting.

thanks, I'm going with glass. It will be a big hit on my pocket but everyone has advised against lexan and the timing is just too tight.

Glass is much cheaper then 3/8 Lexan!
