Modified tour race at riverhead raceway on tv!!??

I hope i read this correct,but versus first mod telecast is from riverhead raceway.If this is true i hope to hell we on the jam can go out a few weeks earlier and clean that place up,i for one would help in a minute[painting,picking up trash,mowing the grass,lay some more stone in walk ways,dress up picnic area ,whatever].This is one of my many second homes and would like to see it gleaming for this event..And of course for us locals , maybe draw more people into this track,cause i am sure i'm not the only one who has been told the place looks a mess and to a regular paying person who might come out for the first time,make them want!! to come back.For a fact i know new eygpt in new jersery has done pretty good since redoing that whole track[just an example,not trashing our track,just trying to make a point]

A few of us modified fans are chipping in some $10,500 to the purse this year. Based on last years purse, this is what the total payout would look like. It does not include the bonus money awarded to the drivers. Basically each driver who qualifies will be given 300 dollars on top of the purse. And the winner will be given approx 2400 to bring his winnings to 5000.

And to get the idea off and running, the winner of the 100 lapper on May 15 will be given a 500 dollar bonus.

If anyone wants to help add to the tour race purse, let me know. I'll be near the photo stand or in the bleachers near the 4th turn throughout the night. Or at the 8x modifed after the race. If we get more than 10,500, we will also be giving tow money to the drivers who do not qualify.

Well just got done reading the gaternews[dated april 27 th],in the articule they were talking on how can am speedway hosts a clean up day where volunteers show up to HELP and do some cleaning up.It was written 85 people showed up and for free,so this thing about riverhead needing insurance! for a clean up,i'm not buying it.KEY WORD: VOLUNTEER
