View Full Version : Practice and Qualifying from Stafford Motor Speedway 4/24/2010
The cars are very fast today at Stafford. During practice the top six cars were faster then the current track record set by Matt Hirschman at the Spring Sizzler in 2007.
Current Track record - Time of 18.009 for a speed of 99.950.
Fast time in practice today was Bobby Santos, III with a time of 17.803 which is a speed of 101.107

what time is qualifying?
Tour cars are coming out on the track for tire scuff session prior to lining up for qualifying.
The first set of cars that have complete tire scuffs are now positioned on pit road to be staged for qualifying.
Scuff session has ended. Track crew checking the surface before qualifying begins.

Cuation Lap 14 as car #28 for Zach Aszklar spins in turn 4.
When go green it will be Frank Cardile on the lead and David Webb again on the outside. The last lap was never completed.
Lap 15 - David Cardile, David Webb, Ted Cain, John Hanafin
Caution 19 as Car #00 Tommy Membrino hits the backstretch wall hard. Driver out of the car.
Erica Santos was also involved in that incident as her car was caught up with Membrino's. Santos was able to collect it and remained goign around the track
Ending will be a green, white, checker finish

On the restart Ted Cain took the lead as Car #92, David Webb, could not get the car into gear
As the cars went over the finish line to take the checkers Dave Webb made a major charge and tried to take the lead back but in the end Ted Cain in car #31 wins the first SK Light Feature event of 2010. Webb had to settle for second

Doesn't look good on the weather front... Let's all hope the rain moves north or south anywhere but over Stafford. Congrats to the 4 team good start to the year. Also great redraw Doug I hope the car runs a whole lot better today.
