although last year was only a 100 lapper...it wasn't considered a flash race....they did regular qualifying...a flash race is when they would do the heat races and the race and count the total laps for it all....like they did at chemung and spencer, two 20 lap heats and a 100 lap race and called it the "whatever" 140...can't remember the name....i believe the only flash race left on the schedule is riverhead, not sure if they are going to do that format at maddog or not..

It's 125 laps this year, 25 more than last year but 25 less than 2 years ago.

2010 Stafford 125 Laps - Posted Purse $76,476 an increase of $6,596 - 1st Place Purse Money $5,000 an increase of $1,000 Without Bonus Money. Whelen Pays $500 on top of the race purse to Each Race Winner, so it's really $5,500 to Win.
31st Place (Last) to Start Will Pay $680 Without Bonus Money an increase of $180.

Thanks to those who confirmed that the May 28 race is indeed 125 laps ... you beat me to it. It is officially titled the "TSI Harley-Davidson 125."

It's been a while, but Stafford actually had three 125-lap Tour races back in the day (1989, 2-1990). In fact, 15 of the first 19 Tour races that were run at Stafford were less than 150.

To a point that Magicshoes12 brought up ... Monadnock will be like Riverhead with a 25-lap qualifier and a 175-lap main.

this is one of my favorite races to go to. I always leave right after work

Last year I didnt go cuz i didnt wanna drive 8 hours for 100 laps, since i didnt feel like i got my monies worth. But i guess i will go this year -- especialy if it's a really nice day. Theres nothing like driving to a race, music blaring and the windows down!

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the Monadnock race is only $20 for the WMT if purchased in advance. That's less admission than an MRS race. Can't wait for that one, but I wish somehow I could be at the MRS Oxford race the same day. I would need more than my Unique Ford Fusion to pull that off. Does anyone in here own a helicopter?
