Qualifying for the 100 Lapper. [Archive]

I heard the plan was to just take 21 out of time trials with 2-3 Riverhead Provisonals. (Cant remember if they said they were starting 23 or 24.)

I think there needs to at least one consi. take 18 or so out of time. Would set up an exciting 12- 15 lap Consi to run before the features. Probably start 10-12 cars and the top 5 make the race. Or top 3 and 2 Riverhead Provisionals. Its Been a long time since we have gotten a chance to watch a race at Riverhead where cars that dont make the top 5 go home. Plus for the guys that do miss the show at least they got a Consi to race in, and didnt but tires to go 2 laps and go home.

Once again just my opinion. Was wondering what everyone else thought about it .

Love Heat Races... and don't you think the Theme from Shaft playing in the background as the modifieds take some pace laps would be cool too. ( I know, Stafford's idea, but talked to them and they don't mind me borrowing their idea)

Great idea though. Would be fun to see something different from the announcers.

A NQ race would be cool, $500.0 to the winner or no cash, start in the rear.

So how many cars do we expect?

If 24 start the feature, if we had at least ten more cars, I think a last chance race or a non qualifiers race would be great.

I'll put up 100 bucks.. and Jaws since you had the idea, I know you will be good for matching that. Now all we need is one or two more people and maybe we can make your idea come true.

I think there should be a consi too, especially if you have guys from out of town coming to race. Or a NQ race too would be nice.

would be nice to see a qualifying race that actually means something...I remember when the mod consi used to be the most exciting(in good and bad ways) race of the night...
