I just got a text message and a phone call saying the Wayne Anderson has suffered a heart attack. Does anyone have any details?

he became ill after the 100 lapper,and was taken to the hospital. i can't nor will i speculate further.

As of about 11:30pm, Wayne was up, talking and wanted to go home from Peconic Bay Hospital. The hospital refused that and that's all I know for now. This came right someone at the hospital.

:) Just spoke with Joette. Wayne is feeing much better. He even looked a bit better last night when we left the hospital. He is being transferred out of PBMC later today for further testing. Thanks to everyone for all their thoughts and prayers. To Ann, we can't thank you enough for you being there. :applause:

Kenny and I just got back from visiting with Wayne and Joette. He's feeling a bit better although tired. Tomorrow the doctors will be doing further testing and they'll go from there. They genuinely appreciate all the well wishes and prayers from the racing community. We'll keep everyone updated. Thanks. :)

First of all, I just wanna start by saying thank god Wayne is ok and I pray for a speedy full recovery. Second Wayne I want to apologize for cutting your firesuit but it was necessary to go through with the things needed to be done for your treatment. With all that being said, I was on my way to oval speed when I saw Ann run into Wayne's trailer and I quickly followed. Ann is one of my bosses where I work at Brookhaven hospital. I work in the emergency room, sometimes in trauma and am trained for situations such as Saturday night. However there is nothing that can train you for such a sudden situation involving someone you know. At work we have doctors, respiratory therapist and many other workers. Saturday night Ann Young was all of them in one. I was just glad to be there for her to assist her in anything she needed to give sucessful acute care to Wayne. I just wanted to post and give praise to Ann for a wonderful job and just am grateful I could be there to help and assure wayne will still be apart of the racing community that he has helped mold. Hopefully for many years to come in whatever way he and his family choose. Take care and god bless.

I know all the accolades have gone to Ann because we all know her and her trained profession as a critical care and trauma nurse. I also know there were others assisting Ann. Mike Capiello called me yesterday and during our conversation he said that Bob had helped Ann. In my update post last night, I was remiss in thanking him, so Thank You Bob. (P.S. Don't even worry about his firesuit--that can be replaced, Wayne can't.) Although I was in the trailer with Wayne when he became ill, I can't even tell you (or remember) those who came to his aid. So, to all of the other helping Angels--a HUGe HEARTFELT THANK YOU!:applause:

With all the love and prayers being sent to Wayne, Joette, Melissa and her family, we know he will come through this with flying colors. So keep those prayers coming everyone. Thanks.

The Jam has received word from Bob Finan that this afternoon Wayne Anderson was released from the hospital and he'll be able to eat dinner at home and sleep in his own bed. It's nice to hear some progress. Feel better Wayne!
