A great day for racing!

No Sprint Cup race on T.V. Sunday afternoon(congrats to Kurt Busch), so come on out and see some live short track racing, headlined by the Mighty Modifieds. A few clouds may be around so it shouldn't be too hot, either.
Don't get scared if you see some rain drops in the morning...practice doesn't begin until 12:30, with racing scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.

The much anticipated race #1 of the "Drive for Five" series is upon us... :applause:

The sun is trying to dance over the speedway, as the morning fog has lifted unveiling the freshly painted guardrails. Haulers are beginning to line up outside the pit area, eager to hit the speedway for what could be the largest event ever at the track.

Just a reminder...if you will be arriving late to the speedway, be sure to bring a lawn chair...as a capacity crowd is expected.

11:30 am:
1-1/2 hours until Modified happy hour(1-2 pm) and cars are still flowing into the pit area. Drivers already on hand include Jonathan Brown, Riverhead Modified champion John Fortin, Earl Paules, Rusty Smith, Ebersole, Hirschman, Zeiner, Brittain, Sammons, Pecko, and a host of others.

Also on the racing card is the always exciting Street Stocks and FWDs.
