St. Johns, Pa- Since this first annual event, the Evergreen Raceway Reunion has been one of the fan favorite events at Sundance vacations Speedway. This season should be no different, as fans ages 11 and older will be admitted into the grandstand are of the speedway for only $5. As always, children ages 10 and under will be admitted for free. Along with many of past Evergreen Raceway drivers on hand, the Modifieds will be in action, as will the Street Stocks, FWDs, ATQMRA midgets and the Garden State Vintage Stock Car Club will be on the card for the evening for the first Saturday night show of the 2010 season.
It’s always hard to tell just who will show up for the popular affair. Last season it was Russ Frantz who made an appearance and past drivers such as Bob Becker, Dale Fey, Todd Stehle, Dean Kline, Richie Jensen, Bob Becker and many others have been by to meet and greet the track’s race fans.
An autograph and camera session is also planned at intermission where fans will have the opportunity to go down on the speedway and receive treats, autographs and photos with their favorite ATQMRA and Garden State Vintage Stock car Club drivers.
With Pocono Raceway weekend in store in may be possible that some of the NASCAR team members and drivers will make an appearance for a night of local short track racing.
The annual and freshly prepared reunion track program will also be on sale, featuring the racing scene from 20 years ago at the track when Roger Heffelfinger, Jr., Dale Fey and Brian Wozniak wear championship crowns.
All of the night’s action will begin with heat races at 5 PM.
