Wall Stadium promoter Jim Morton says that he is looking forward to hosting an impressive field of Touring Modified stock cars when his third mile paved oval hosts “Twin 50” lap main events this Saturday night, June 12. Plans call for grandstand seating to open at 4:00 p.m., with qualifying beginning at 5:45 p.m. and feature racing set to start at 6:45 p.m.

Former speedway driving champion “Pistol Pete” Brittain of Allentown will be the man to beat as he swept both feature races in the season’s first Touring Modifieds “Twin 50” lap races back on May 8. Howell’s Ken Woolley, Jr. will bring the famous “Big Red No. 14” back to the third mile paved oval as confirmed by car-owner Dick Barney. Tim Arre of Toms River, who will be at the wheel of the Ralph Solhem No. 0, is anxious to get back to the high banks, as is Howell’s Jamie Tomaino who will be at the wheel of the Supreme Manufacturing No. 99.

Others Touring Modified stars expected to see action include Long Island, NY favorite Tony Ferrante, Jr. in his family owned No. 31, three-time early season Wall Modified winner Anthony Sesely in his No. 16, Freehold’s Steven Reed in the No. 55, Jackson’s Kevin Flockhart in the No. 00, Danny Sammons in the DeRosa Racing No. 15, Chatham’s Bill Weichert in his No. 11 and Rich Parker in the No. 7.

Promoter Jim Morton says that he will have many more confirmed entries by race day.

In addition to the Touring Modifieds, the track’s Sportsman, Street Stock and Legend Cars divisions will compete in 25-lap main events, while the Flanagan Retail Development Factory Stocks will race in a 20-lapper. The track’s Supreme Manufacturing Modified will have the night off, although they are welcome to attempt to qualify for the Tour Modified events.

Pit gates will open at 12:30 p.m. on June 12, with a paid practice session set from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. The regular practice session will be up next, while grandstand seating will open at 4:00 p.m. Qualifying is set for 5:45 p.m. and main event action is set for 6:45 p.m.

On Sunday, the fifth mile paved “inner oval” continues the 2010 “Sunday Series” featuring Go Karts, wingless Midgets, Legend Cars, Bandoleros and Micro Stocks starting at noon. For more information call 732-681-6400 or visit http://www.wallsundayseries.com.
