Classic cars, custom cars, muscle cars and street rods will get all the attention this Friday evening (June 11) at Wall Stadium as the shore speedway presents its second “Friday Night Cruise Night” of the season. The event, schedule from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. is free of charge for both participants and spectators.

Just like last year, several of the speedway’s racecar drivers also plan to display their machines and meet with residents from the surrounding community during the evening.

Plans again call for all of the special cars to be parked in the large, paved pit area at the speedway. Food will be available from the speedway’s refreshment stands and participants will get the chance to cruise around Wall Stadium’s famous third mile high banked oval as the track’s pace car will lead groups of cars around the track though out the evening.

After Friday evening’s event, the remainder of these “family friendly” gatherings is set for July 9, August 13, September 10 and October 8. Each event is set for the second Friday of the month with the third Friday to serve as a rain date for each one. All “Friday Night Cruise Nights” are set to start at 5:00 p.m. Admission is free of charge for both car show participants and those who visit the speedway to admire the custom cars.

Then on Saturday night (June 12), the powerful Touring Modified stock cars return to the speedway for “Twin 50” lap main events. The Sportsman cars, Street Stocks and Legend Cars in 25-lappers and the Flanagan Retail Development Factory Stocks in a 20-lap feature, will join the Modifieds. Spectator seating opens at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, with qualifying set for 5:45 p.m. and main events for 6:45 p.m.

On Sunday, the fifth mile paved “inner oval” continues the 2010 “Sunday Series” featuring Go Karts, wingless Midgets, Legend Cars, Bandoleros and Micro Stocks starting at noon. For more information call 732-681-6400 or visit http://www.wallsundayseries.com.
