SPENCER RAINED OUT FOR FIRST TIME IN 2010

Friday afternoon rain storms forced officials at Spencer Speedway to cancel their NASCAR program for July 9th. Planned were Twin 25’s for the NASCAR Sunoco Modifieds, plus a complete program of Street Stocks, Super Sixes and Auto Value Scorpions.

“We’ll be rescheduling the Twin 25’s for the Sunoco Modifieds to Friday, July 23,” commented promoter John White . “This coming week we have the ‘NASCAR Upstate New York Pro-Modified Series presented by Hoosier Tires of WNY and Sunoco Race Fuels’ 35-lapper on the schedule.”

July 16th’s race will be the fifth event in a series of nine challenge races, since the last one, on June 26 at Holland was rained out. Buck Catalano has won three of the four challenge races run to date. The last one, on June 12 at Holland , was won by Mike Fiebelkorn Jr.

Joining the action at Spencer on July 16 will be a complete program of Street Stocks, Super Sixes and Auto Value Scorpions. All feature races run on July 16 will be offering double points in all divisions. Race time remains at 7:30 p.m. sharp.
