Another fairly large cell on the edge of Riverhead right now.
Looks like a possible break after this but by 5-6pm, looks like the main storm may be upon us.... it does look like the main storm is breaking up as it comes into the city though....:p

When it comes to weather on Saturdays, I usually talk with Richie, he never knowledgeable when it comes to storm cells. I hope the wind changes directions and pushes the storm away from us, the east end if very difficult to predict, but like I said Richie is usually pretty good on making calls with weather.

Weather.com shows 60% chance of thunderstorms between 6 and 10 o'clock. Maybe a shower before that. Showers have been passing through quickly all morning on the east end and it is very sunny right now. The green blob on the radar heading our way around 7 looks to be breaking up as it approaches Riverhead, so there probably will be enough rain to delay things a little, but Riverhead Raceway would be foolish to cancel the show. Hows that for positive thinking?

Looking at the Radar it looks like the storm has split into a Northern storm thru Conneticut and a southern storm off shore of Fire Island, with one last storm on the Island just about to clear the Riverhead area.
