Riverhead Tour Race - July 31

What Riverhead regulars will be trying to qualify for the Tour Race on July 31?

How many laps will the race be? and will the admission be higher to get into the races that night?

Time trials, one consider heat race (25 laps) and 175 lap feature .

My guess is $30 to get in but that's only a guess.

$11,070 has been raised so far for the tour race. Some tow money will be handed out to drivers who don't qualify.

It use to be ,no shorts in the pits for a tour race. Don't know if it has changed:(

That is correct, for a NASCAR touring event, no shorts or open shoes AND, I was told, no cut off sleeved shirts.
Now mind you, every year I have gone, people ARE wearing these in the pits. From what I have seen, people go in correctly, then change once inside.....
Take that for what it is worth....

I think the reason is that his tour car was bent up pretty good a few weeks ago.

at least $1000.00 in tires for starters, tour license(crew and driver at $300 plus each), fire suits and helmets for the entire crew, etc
