For those of you who are old school Evergreen fans, I am totally stumped over the identity of this driver. I was going through all of my old photos, and have no idea who this is. Anyone know? Thanks.

Joe Monkowski - at a place called The New Evergreen Speedway
Damn Bob, that was my first guess, but I thought that Joe had a mod back in those days... Nice work :)

Thanks WL, I remember watching this car just could not think of who it was. Much appreciated.

Joe did have a mod #42 and then #88

Joe last won with this car on Sept 16, 1979 - I wonder if this car became Clete Spaide's #82 in 1980 - It has that look
I see the back of Richie Jensen's blue Camaro in the background - I like the 57 and 55 Chevy on the trailers - I'm thinking the blue Nova might be the 08 of Russ Frantz but can't be sure without seeing a better shot
Got any more New Evergreen photos?

Got me on that one - I know that Rich Post ran some #44 cars back in the day but i see the "Jr." after the number - I do recognize the #5 Modified on the trailer in the background - this was a Camaro bodied Mod with a 6 cylinder engine - Carl Fey drove this a few times in 1980 although this photo is from a season earlier than that.
Keep them coming, Gary :)

I'm not 100% sure, but given the colors and number, I'm guessing that's Russ Bensinger, who raced a 50s-vintage Chevy at the Park and then ran a Gremlin on dirt at Nazareth. The shade of orange and the skinny numbers are very similar to those he had on the Gremlin.
