The Pro All Star Super Late Models return to the Thompson Int’l Speedway this Thursday night. This very popular touring series will get top billing due to their scheduled 75-lap main event. Joining the Pro All Star Series (PASS) will be Thompson’s Super 6 NASCAR Whelen All-American series divisions.

Current PASS points leader, Johnny Clark of Hallowell, ME, will lead the field of ultra-fast race cars and northern New England’s best drivers. This once a year appearance of the PASS race teams will bring out full fender race car fans from all over the northeast.

Clark has three wins to his credit in the 2010 season and leads the points chase against such drivers as Ben Rowe, Trevor Sanborn, Cassius Clark, and many more. Rowe recently ended Clark’s win streak when he claimed victory at the Canaan Fair Speedway in New Hampshire. Defending Thompson Super Late Model champ, Derek Ramstrom is also the defending 2009 PASS race winner at Thompson. He is always a tough competitor on the PASS circuit and is expected to compete in both the PASS race and the Thompson Super Late Model event.

Current PASS South points leader, Preston Peltier of Concord, North Carolina will be coming north to take on his “Yankee brothers” at Thompson. Peltier, who has two wins and seven top five finishes this year, feels confident that he will run with the best of the northern PASS competitors this Thursday.

All PASS racers look forward to their annual visit to the super fast Thompson Speedway where they have the opportunity to obtain their highest racing speeds of the season and have lots of room to do it on the big, high-banked oval.

Sunoco Modified points leader, Ted Christopher, will try to extend his points advantage over Ronnie Silk, Rowan Pennink, Keith Rocco and Woody Pitkat. Christopher, who has six victories to his credit this year, will lead the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Super 6 divisions in this action packed race program.

Thompson’s grandstands will open at 4 PM and qualifying races will begin at 6 PM. The first feature race will get underway shortly thereafter. The complete schedule for the evening is available on the Thompson web site www.thompsonspeedway.com (http://www.thompsonspeedway.com).
