$6 FOR KIDS 6 THRU 11 AT WALL STADIUM SATURDAY (JULY 24)

Auto racing fans at Wall Stadium will enjoy the sport’s biggest bargain this Saturday night (July 24) as promoter Jim Morton has announced a “Pack the Track” promotion offering young fans five and under free admission, children 6 through 11 a $6 admission and fans 12 and older admission for just $10. Spectator gates open at 4:00 p.m., qualifying will start at 5:15 p.m., an “On Track Party” begins at 6:15 p.m. and main event racing starts at 7:30 p.m. The event is rescheduled after being rain postponed on July 10.

“The economy is tough for everyone these days and I just wanted to offer a real affordable night to allow everyone a chance to come to the races,” Morton said. “Everyone was very disappointed when the rain postponed out first event.

“I hope everyone can spread the word and take advantage of our rescheduling of this special night.”

The Supreme Manufacturing Modifieds will battle in a 40-lap feature race on Saturday; the Sportsman cars, Street Stocks and the Legend Cars will race in 25-lappers and the Factory Stocks will battle in a 20-lap feature. In addition, the open cockpit Three Quarter Midgets are also set for a 25-lapper.

An “On Track Party,” where fans will be welcome to walk the speedway and get an up close look at every car parked on the track, will be one of the highlights of the evening. Young racers from the Garden State Quarter Midget track will also be honored.

On Sunday, July 25, the fifth mile paved “inner oval” returns to action with the 2010 “Sunday Series” featuring Go Karts, wingless Midgets, Legend Cars and Micro Stocks starting at noon. For more information call 732-681-6400 or visit http://www.wallsundayseries.com.

Wall Stadium presents professional motorsports events on most Saturdays and Sundays during the summer months. The speedway is located on Route 34 in Wall Township, N.J., just one mile north of Garden State Parkway exit 98 and Interstate 195 exit 35B. The speedway hotline number is 732-681-6400, while more information is also available at www.wallspeedway.com (http://www.wallspeedway.com).

MEDIA NOTE: On July 17, the Factory Stock cars of both Tim O’Shea and Whitey Miller failed to pass post race inspection and were disqualified. That moved third place finisher Rob Longo up to first place and all finishing behind him advanced two spots in the final rundown.
