Since a very well like and respected Riverhead Raceway official was hurt during a hot laps crash don't you think this post is a little insensitive?

on the hot laps before the start of the 77 lap mod race two cars tangled and had to go in the pits for repairs while everybody in the stands had to wait for which felt like an eternity but was the right thing to do considering the two cars I think are in the points race.

During hot laps... the front cars caught the back of the pack and stacked the field up.

They really need to do something about the slow cars that aren't up to speed or just do what the tour does and don't give hotlaps. Also I firmly believe that the pace of the double file restarts played a major role in most cautions.
