just asken a ? why was the 35 sent to the pits for his fender hanging off.but the 4 with the same fender hanging off is aloud to stay in the race.or was there something else wrong on the 35 car.:wave:

I was puzzled by that too. The people who were sitting near me in the turn 3 stands said it might be because the fender on the 35 was metal and the fender on the 4 was plastic. I don't how accurate that is though.

Yes thats true if the fender on the car is plastic usually they dont flag you unless its really bad but if its metal it can cause a lot of problems.... so thats probably why they made the call but i dont know i wasnt there last night to see but im guessing if in fact the 35 has metal fenders thats why

The fenders on the 35 I believe are plastic. It may have been the way the fender was hanging that got him sent to the pits.

I think it's usually a judgment call and varies per situation.

week in and week out, there are inconsistant calls. not fair to the 35 to have to come in for the fender when the 4 was allowed to stay out there. I see the same thing happen in other divisions.

a few years ago i got black flagged from the lead because of a plastic fender hanging off,,the next week a different car wasnt black flagged for the same offense. its a crapshoot lol
