Riverhead Tour Race

Weather looks perfect.. Invite your friends and even people who don't necessarily love racing and get them out to Riverhead this weekend.

$11,500 has been raised.

$ 300 to each qualified driver, and an additional $2100 to the winner.

There will be tow money, at least $100 bucks to each driver who doesn't qualify.

Did you see the story in AARN this week about how everybody left Lime Rock after the Modified race? I heard they were all following some crazed Modified fan out the gates after the Mod race. That wasn't you was it?

I do think I remember saying out loud, " All modified fans follow me!"

As for Riverhead, it's still rumor time. I'm thinking maybe 34 modifieds.

plus Steuer, Brigati, Fortin ( heard he had his car at Hirschmans getting it fixed ), Vigorolo ( in Rogers car ??), and Andersons 15 (without Blewett, but maybe with Wayne??)

That's 30 plus Ferrante, Kevin Goodale, Heagy, Tyler = 34

Even heard a rumor of Dan Jivanelli showing up.

Any one know if any of these rumors are true?

That 25 Lap Race might be more exciting than most 35 lap features.

remember when the riverhead race used to be the riverhead 201 201 laps of racing not the riverhead 200 with only 175 laps of racing oh i forgot 25 lap heat race pay to see 200 lap feature get to see 175 laps thanks chad little

But that 25 lap heat race may be the most exciting moment of the night.

yes the 25 lap heat might be the best race of the nite if so then let the feature be a true short track race lets say a 50-75 lap feature like the days of satday nite riverside park or friday nite mononock feature 25-35 drivers gunning for the top spot that would be awesome
