Here's the website: http://www.smashmasters.net/

They tried to do it last year but rain cancelled the show, hopefully they can pull it off this year with out any issues.

On the website it gives you a link to print out a registration form it says 16 car limit but I called scott wallace the man in charge and he said that's last years there's no limit and he just said he was hoping for a good turnout. So I'm gonna take my dads fifth avenue out for its final run.

Lol he had other fish to fry, but I went to go start the new yorker lastnight and the motors siezed....WTF but now i gotta set up another car. This really sucks the only reason i was gonna run the demo was because I had a car that was already set up. At that no time to waste I gotta car to build before saturday

Looks like a few people underestimated that caddy that I ran lol. That sucks about the motor seizing. What happened to the Marquis you ran?

the whole right front side of the marquis was pertty so we just got rid of it thinking that the chrysler was still good but the marquis still ran. so i ended up not going so i would like to know how it turned out to.

10 cars, nobody from riverhead but Jay and I but we were just spectators. Demo area was maybe a quarter of the size of ours but the action was pretty good. There was an early 60's new yorker, mid 70's new yorker, a few 70's mid size gm's, a few 80's caprices, a mid 70's caddy. The cars were pretty well built, welded cars, no radiators, forklift tires, fun stuff like that. IMO it wouldn't be worth it to specifically build a competitive car and drive 3 hours there since the payout was only $500. If we had cars that were already built/used that we just want to go have fun with it might be worth going tho.
