Buck Catalano added the NASCAR Upstate New York Pro-Modified Series presented by Hoosier Tires of WNY and Sunoco Race Fuels Championship to his growing list of accomplishments.

Fifty-one drivers competed in the series, but only six met the requirement of running three races at each speedway. Buck topped the list with his sister-in law, Amy Catalano finishing in second. Jeff Ruddy wound up third in series points followed by Kevin Miller, Dick Kluth and Fred Taylor. These were the only drivers to meet the three race minimum at each track.

Ten series races were run at between Holland and Spencer speedways, five at each track. Buck Catalano won four of those races. Mike Fiebelkorn recorded two wins. One win each went to Kevin Timmerman, Sege Fidanza, Chris Finocchario and Patrick Emerling.

“We would like to continue the cooperation between the two Upstate New York NASCAR speedways,” stated John White . “Both Tim Bennett, from Holland , and I would like to see more drivers make the minimum requirement to end up in the points.”

Currently, based on the ten race series, a $3,000 point fund, over and above what is awarded by NASCAR regionally, was posted to the modified drivers earning enough points to qualify for the inaugural title.
