I was hoping to see Motor Mile back on the 2011 schedule, but with Caraway taking six and SoBo having one, that will be a stretch.

Are you positive on those last two Caraway dates? 8/26 is a Friday and 9/1 is a Thursday. Caraway usually stops running on Fridays at the end of July and they have never ran Thursday

EDIT: After checking the Home Tracks Twitter I retract my question. It is odd to see us on Thursday

I wonder if The Dirt Track at Charlotte will be paved by October and the modifieds will run there? :)

Here is a direct link to the complete schedule rundown: http://hometracks.nascar.com/races/NWSMT

Thompson will announce the specifics of the Sept. 11 event. I think the teams, drivers and fans alike will be excited about the format.

...... I think the teams, drivers and fans alike will be excited about the format.

But the majority of the southern teams will probably stay home regardless of the format, unless someone is paying show money.

Both the K&N and NWSMT are pretty bad purses when you think of it. The top 10 guys were getting the same if not more money during the early 90's in both Busch North and the NASCAR Mods at places like Lee and Oxford.(even Star too) Plus there is a whole bunch of money missing from both when look at the "posted" awards, then add up the payouts per position.

With the K&N Series it includes the point fund and all bonus plan payouts same as the WMT North. The WMT South bonus paln is very small or nonexistent and it includes a very small point fund. That's why it doesn't add up to the posted awards payout.

Yeah, but for K&N, there is like a $70,000 difference between the posted and paid out. That would be a heck of a lot of bonus plan and points money.

I think it IS a heck of a lot of money, like a million dollar point fund. I know the fast time at South boston last year made almost as much as the winner of the modified race. A track like Bowman Gray should up its purse and pay the equivalent of what they are going to pay out to the East Series ( unless Nascar pays the whole thing for them). Can you imagine what would happen up north if Thompson were paying the East Series 8000 to win, and only 2000 to the Whelen tour when they came to town.?

Yes it's a million dollar point fund.
